Why Marketing is Not Delivering The Results You Want?
This advice is for you, dear Small Waste Business Owner.
In the last period, I had several meetings with small waste company owners who said that "they don't believe" in marketing because they are not having results.
Their answer made me strange.
Starting from the fact that behind marketing, there are no beliefs.
Marketing is a science and not a religion that needs to be believed.
But going ahead, I asked them what type of marketing they were doing and what results they expected that they didn't obtain.
What I discovered is really interesting.
Each one of them invested in single parts of marketing.
One invested in Pay Per Click, another in SEO, another in SEO and Local SEO, and all invested in Social Media Marketing (without using paid ads).
All of them with a sole and unique idea of result: generate a flux of new leads.
On the contrary, the results they obtained were a bunch of unprofiled leads...
Approximately 10 a month.
I told them that what they obtained was very good, considering there wasn't a marketing strategy.
But they replied that they had invested a lot of money.
I asked them to be clear.
In the chart below, I reported the price they gave me...
These are the average prices for a single service.
Considering the total amount per month (between $ 2,500 and $ 13,500), you can easily see the amount to have a complete marketing service for your company.
It changes with the quality and quantity of content created, paid ads managed, copywriting involved, and more...
But at the base, a marketing strategy should indicate what you should leverage to obtain the results you are searching for. Otherwise, you waste money on unfruitful activities with the color of marketing and the taste of failure.
As it happened to the people I met during my conversation.
Be careful every time you decide to invest in a single piece of marketing: you are wasting money if there isn't a strategy behind it.
Remember that to build a house you need to combine a lot of single parts that taken individually are unable to support the load. Think about it every time you think to outsource a single part of something. In many cases you're working to waste money and time.
